Suddenly the wall of glass doors isn't such a hot feature...
After a fun night of partying at the Irish Pub just down the street (I am supposed to meet with the manager about a job there on Tuesday, but think I won over the rest of the staff with doing shots and a dance off victory over the head chef) we awoke to see this email from our property management company:
Dear Tenants & Owners,
Please note that we are currently on a Cyclone Watch as tropical cyclone Hamish has now developed in to a Category 5. Please prepare your property by ensuring all outside loose objects are secured do not leave anything out in the yard than can be blown around and cause damage. Should the Cyclone hit please note the following:
Disconnect all electrical appliances. Ensure you have a battery operated radio and listen to the reports. Do not go out unless you're told it is safe to do so. Seek shelter indoors, if the building breaks up stay under a table and wrap yourself in a blanket or mattress.
THE EMERGENCY NUMBER TO CALL IS 132 500. THIS INFORMATION COMES FROM THE WEATHER CHANNEL. LETS HOPE IT WILL NOT HAPPEN BUT LETS BE PREPARED IN CASE IT DOES!
Regards,
Ripe Property
Yikes! Will keep you posted... if we have any power and the place is still standing...

ReplyDeleteGet the hell out of ther!! Go to Glen's or to Syndey to Amanda's relatives or Diana Brown's mom in Bondi Beach. I know you Kim - if it comes - you will want to experience it first hand and venture outside. Thought you would be safe there from this kind of weather! IF you decide to stay - be prepared with lots of food, water, radio, flashlights - and knowing you two - lots of booze! Luckily, you won't have to worry about having no heat! TAKE CARE AND KEEP IN TOUCH!!
ReplyDeleteLuv Mom Gloria/Aunt
